So, I'm starting to get used to working 8-5 everyday during the week, but I definitely miss my old schedule of whatever. I can't even make myself sleep in on Saturdays. I wake up and can't go back to sleep, it stinks. And, I get sleepy at night. Not tired, but sleepy.
It stinksCurrent Mood: sleepy

I saw man of the year, it was okay. It was like two different movies, one serious and one comedy. I would wait for rental, if you're thinking about seeing it.
Any who, FALL BREAK is Thursday and Friday, woo hoo!!!!! I don't actually have class on Friday, but I can still be excited about it. |
|
Lately I've been so busy with school work and trying to graduate. I'm also looking for a job. Does anyone know any CPA's that would want to hire me?
Anyway . . . I'm hungry. |

Chris Isaac is on Jay Leno, and is he not hot! when he sings wicked game. (He's normally not hot) in my opinion.

| » Canoeing |
Scott and I went canoeing yesterday with the Wesley Foundation. It was fun, but our canoe flipped and that was not fun. We went down the Okatoma River. There were about 4 spots with slightly faster water and giant rocks. The first spot one canoe flipped. Then the 2nd or 3rd one our canoe and another canoe flipped. It was a steep drop with a quick turn at the bottom, bad combination. Luckily there were some people at the bottom helping the people who flipped. I was face down in the water and two guys pulled me out. I only suffered some scratches on my knee and hip, but they bled a bit. We also saw a water macasin (sp?) near the bank. Some spiders decided to jump into our canoe. One of the spiders was really huge and brown and hairy -we stopped to kill that one. Other than all that stuff it was fun.
If you talk to Scott about the canoe trip he will say I jumped out of the canoe, which made it tip over, which I did not do. And he will say it was my fault the spiders jumped into our canoe because i took us under some trees, but he was doing a bad job steering b/f that and made the canoe tip on that drop. -just so you know

Someone needs to start a Home Video to DVD business up here (Drew), for real! I want my home videos burned, but I don't want to buy the stuff. And people always ask us at work.
Scott won a PSP system through an online contest for MI:3. I thought he might win a magnet, or something stupid, but he actually won something cool.

| » Photography Class |
I'm really enjoying my photography class. I have two pictures in the Student Art Show at school. I got an Honorable Mention for one of them, which I'm excited about, b/c the Photo II students had their pictures in the show too.
I took some pictures at Kamper park of this family, and now they want me to take more photos of them on Saturday, and they are going to pay me =). They're really excited about it, which kind of scares me, b/c the pictures may not turn out good.
For my final project in photography, we choose our own topics, so I decided to do mine on different forms of love. It's going to involve a lot of people, which is kind of hard. I took some over spring break though.
8 week classes suck! All the business classes right now are 8 week. I think i'm going to drop one and take it this summer on the Gulf Coast. I'll have to drive down though, but I can stay at mom's. I have to pull up my GPA!!!! I have to buckle down and finish!!!

That cop's hanging out on 38th ave. giving tickets again; if you drive by there be careful.
I'm really enjoying my photography class this semester. There are some many technical aspects of develping and printing the film that make it not as much fun. But, our next assignment is all about composition, which i think i have a natural hand at, so i think it will be fun. I'd kinda rather just take my film to the shop and tell them how to print it.
I really need to focus on my accounting though, and do more studying.
I really have too many things to do, that when i have a free hour or so I don't know what to do. I need to go clean stuff.

| » Christmas is over, but school is still out !! |
I had a good Christmas, got to see my family, lots of presents. Scott gave me an awesome Palm Pilot, i don't know how i lived without it before. I also got $$, cds, shirt, So In Love perfume, candles, wireless mouse, other small stuff.
My mom gave my dad an awesome present (they have been separated for a while, and my dad's house is gone from hurricane), an Indian playing board type game, from India that he used to have, and a photo album of copies of old pictures that friends sent to Mom. Tess and I mainly gave him clothes, b/c we thought he needed the most. We checked out his FEMA trailer, which has everything you need, and is hooked-up to water and sewage. His new house is not ready to move into yet.
Alex got a car for Christmas/Birthday, an Extera (sp?). So now his car is nicer than mine =(.
I did okay grade wise, pleased. New semester approaching, new classes, almost graduation, hoo-ha. I am probably going to take an art class too!!! Bad thing though, they're redoing Joseph Greene, so half of the building will be closed half of the semester, and our classes will be twice as long.
good night

| » i'm not surprised Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes fell in love |
they have the same eyes, and some of the same facial structure, which proves my theory that people are attracted to people that look similar to them. I think couples not only grow to look like each other over time, but they are also attracted to people that have the same facial characterisics. Maybe it has to do with how evolved you are, i don't know.
What should i be for Halloween?

'Please be mature and clean the seat if you make a mess' or something, is a typed message posted on the toilet paper holder in the women's restroom of the library on campus. And it is only posted in the handi-capped stall. Isn't that terrible.
On another note, my car is gone again, it's still messing up. It's going back to the dealer to hopefully be completely healed.
Does anyone need a roommate? I have a friend, who is a girl, who needs a roommate, and a place to move into.

i might get my car back today! yay! My dad had my car since the hurricane, his flooded. Then there was a minor problem with it, so it is being fixed, then i get it back! I hate not having a car, and having to bum a ride everywhere.
CTF is tonight too!
I've decided to blow up some pictures i took in Mexico and Montanna to hang in my room. There's been a blank wall for a while now; I hate blank walls. Now i just have to find a place to blow them up at. . .
Mom said my grandfather's war memorial is still standing in Biloxi. It was right on the beach. It had pictures of soldiers wounded during WWII.
I have pictures after the hurricane, i will post when i can scan.
Football game this Sat., mom and Alex are coming up. Mom doesn't like going to the games on campus that much, but she wants to see Tess dance, so that should be fun.

| » gas thingy |
DON'T THINK THIS WILL EVER HAPPEN....BUT, I WILL GO FOR IT ON SEPT. 1ST.....
IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES. AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES. THEREFORE Sept.1st HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED, "STICK IT UP THEIR behind DAY", AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GAS THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE, IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT. WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO? REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GAS GOING UP, BUT AT THE SAME TIME, AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE Sept. 1st A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"!

| » What up yo |
I haven't updated in a while.
My car recently broke down-transmission had to be re-built-1 1/2 g's. my phone disassembled-but i got a new one
We went to Maryland to see my uncle for a few days. It was a fun trip, I love to travel and see new things. We went to D.C. for a day and went to some smithsonians, the native american and the american history. We went to the art last time. It was soo hot! they were having a heat wave or something. We went to New York the next day, and saw Stomp!, which was really awesome. My uncle is a big opera guy, so i didn't think he'd like it, but he thought it was cool. We also ate at the Tavern on the Green in Central Park, but they said the outside patio was all full, so we had to eat inside. I think it's b/c my dad and uncle weren't dressed-up enough. The restaurant is gorgeous. They have a topiery garden outside that's huge, like Edward Scissorhands. While walking through central park we saw a small fair, it reminded me of You've Got Mail. While walking through the village there was a street vendor selling tank tops with graffitti spray painted on them, I wanted to buy one so bad, but we were running late. I couldn't find him after that =(. We then shopped at Macy's for two hours-not enough time, b/f they closed. They have the best Steve Madden collection. That night we ate at an Indian restaurant in NY, it was fabulous. The next day we walked around Baltimore, and went to the aquarium. That night some of my uncle's friends, lawyers, and orchestra players and such came over for dinner, and he made us watch a Chinese opera. It was cool, the part I stayed awake for anyway. Love and betrayal and all that jazz. On the way home our plane was delayed at two airports, so much time reading magazines and such, but our luggage made it. Ohh yeah, my aunt is Korean so one day we ate at a real Asian market, it was fun, but kind of scary.
I recently watched Door in the Floor, it's really good. It's from a John Irving book, A Widow for One Year. He's an awesome writer. The characters are so complex, and full of emotion, but you still connect with them. Even the little girl is complex, but real. You can't help but empathize with all of the characters. The actors are also fabulous in the movie.
Gotta go mail my old phone back.
